Following a short intermission, the concert continued with Dvoraks Ninth Symphony. “Never, under any circumstances, look at the brass - it only encourages them.”, yet the conductor kept looking at them. They were well encouraged. I also thought the wind and the brass seemed to be on different schedules.
All in all, I was disappointed with the performance. This was my first time hearing the Ninth live. Methinks I'll stick to recorded performances of it for a while...
