New data, fresh out [from mice, naturlich]:
its more probable your female gametes are being freshly created thru-out your fertile life. That makes the whole increased trisomy occurence with maternal age thing make much more sense.
Eggs that were properly created would find it challenging to then replicate a single chromosome as would be needed to create a trisomy embryo.
But, older cells going thru meiosis may be more susceptible to uneven chromosome division leading to gametes with 2 copies of a given chromosome and other gametes with no copies of that chromosome. Presumably unisomy embryos are non-viable, so miscarried very quickly after fertilization.
I'm so far off my plan its laughable, and life is as good as its ever been. Plans are nice and they are fun to laugh at in hind sight!
