Has anyone gotten to see it yet? My son went and said it was great- lots of action. Rolling Stone review was not all that glowing, however.... Also heard John Williams does the music score?

My daughter and sister have both seen it. Both enjoyed it. I'm planning to go as soon as the line at the geezer matinee shrinks a bit.

Read the movie pooper on it -- my sister and I could've written the plot 25 years ago (with far better dialog!). Nothing new, no surprises. My kids are insisting I see it in the theater simply on principle, but I can wait till after the 4th of July.
I loved the first one -- saw that close to 15 times, enjoyed the next two, but these last two.... Lucas should've let someone else write the screenplay.

Of the three new ones this was by far the best IMO. I liked it, but it's hard not to like a movie with lots of setting things on fire, explosions, and sword fighting.
Yoda is seriously spry for a 900 year old whatever.

I liked it too. I have always been a Star Wars fan and this one was much better than Episodes I and II, albeit VERY clumsy dialog. Just ignore that and have mindless fun.

I saw it this evening. Definitely better than Episode I, jury is still out on how it compared to Episode II. As for the clumsy dialogue I have this to say. I agree, but if you think about it, all the Star Wars episodes have clumsy dialogue, even Episodes IV-VI. The difference is that the standard of dialogue in movies has improved since the late '70's and early '80's, so the first trilogy (meaning the second, Ep. 4-6) gets away with it. The second trilogy (meaning the first, Ep. 1-3) suffer from it, especially Episode I where Lucas took the cheesy dialogue to an all-time low. Despite the bad dialogue, Star Wars is still cool.

Oh yeah, and the best Star Wars movie is still The Empire Strikes Back, IMHO.

I've only seen 5 of them, but of those 5, TESB is the best, although my fave is ROTJ.

I read a review of Sith from the New Yorker that made me LOL. After complaining about Yoda's fractured syntax, the reviewer wrote, "Break me a f***ing give."

Please tell me Jar-Jar-Bing(or whatever his name is) meets a truly hideous end in this one.
Nothing less than he deserves.

I liked the original SW (A New Hope) the best, however all three of the first round are excellent.

BARTist - how right you are.

Eps 4-6 had the clunky dialog - they they also had snappy deliverers - Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford were amazing at delivering the awkward dialog in a snappy and fun manner - took your mind away from the fact that it was awkward.

I have to agree that Jar Jar Binks is one of the most annoying characters ever. Any one seen this spoof? Jar Jar meets a very appropriate end. Star Wars III: A Lost Hope

Oh, and I agree that Jar Jar is the worst.

I LOVED Revenge of the Sith. It puts together those missing pieces nicely. It is quite action filled and the effects are awesome! So are Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor!

Jar Jar is quite an annoying character!

Actually Jar Jar's ability to annoy seemed petty compared to that of certain audience members at an early Saturday matinee--but the $5.50 admission price wasn't bad. Some ought to sympathize with Mr. Binks in this episode where his naivete helped set him up as a stooge for those with evil intentions. A professor expressed it well that authority coupled with incompetence (including lack of discernment) led to the French Revolution.

I agree - Jar Jar was a terrible character. At least in ROTS he didn't have a speaking part.
